ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಡಾ. ಗಂಗೂಬಾಯಿ ಹಾನಗಲ್ ಸಂಗೀತ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಕ ಕಲೆಗಳ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕನಾಟಕ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯಗಳ ಸಂಯುಕ್ತ ಆಶ್ರಯದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ವ ಯೋಗ ದಿನ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಶ್ವ ಸಂಗೀತ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆಯ ಪ್ರಯುಕ್ತ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನವು ಮಾನ್ಯ ಕುಲಪತಿಗಳಾದ ಡಾ. ಅಹಲ್ಯಾ ಮೇಡಮ್ ಅವರ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಉದ್ಘಾಟನೆಯಾಯಿತು.

Yogotsava 2025

Karnataka Samskrit University, Bengaluru, in collaboration with Sri Trinetra International Yoga Studies and Research Centre, Srirangapatna, and the Government Ayurvedic Research Centre, Mysuru, successfully conducted a grand Yogotsava as part of the Countdown to International Day of Yoga 2025 at the serene DMS Chandravana Ashrama, Srirangapatna.he event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police of Mandya District, reflecting strong administrative support for the initiative. The program was presided over by Dr. Ahalya S., Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Karnataka Samskrit University, and held in the esteemed presence of His Holiness Dr. Sri Sri Trinetra Mahanta Shivayogi Swami, Prof. Sharanappa V. Halse, Vice Chancellor, Karnataka State Open University, and Prof. Padma Shekhar, Former Vice Chancellor of Karnataka Samskrit University. Key university officials including Prof. Girishchandra V., Registrar, and Sri Kumara, Finance Officer of Karnataka Samskrit University, also actively participated and supported the event.

As part of the nationwide celebration of Yogotsava 2025, IDY, a vibrant mass yoga demonstration was held at DNS Chandravana Ashrama, Srirangapatna, on the tranquil banks of the River Cauvery. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and yoga practitioners, showcasing unity through synchronized asanas. Set in the serene lap of nature, the program emphasized the theme “Yoga for Unity and Wellness”, blending tradition, health, and harmony in a spiritually enriching environment.

The Central Library of Karnataka Samskrit University successfully conducted the fifth session of its Book Talk series on 06 June 2025. The session focused on the theme “Yoga & Health” and featured an enlightening talk by Sri Prakash Guruji, who shared deep insights into the holistic benefits of yoga for physical and mental well-being.

"Anti-Terrorism Day Observed at Karnataka Samskrit University Karnataka Samskrit University solemnly observed Anti-Terrorism Day on 21st May, reaffirming its commitment to peace, harmony, and national integrity. The observance aimed to educate students, faculty, and staff about the perils of terrorism and the importance of fostering unity and non-violence. The event commenced with the Anti-Terrorism Pledge, where all participants vowed to uphold and promote the values of non-violence and peaceful coexistence. Faculty members and students actively participated in discussions highlighting the role of education and awareness in combating extremism and promoting social harmony".
